Perpetual and Derivatives Trading Risk Disclosure
Trading perpetual futures, options, swaps, and other derivative instruments involves a high degree of risk and can result in the loss of your entire margin deposit. These instruments differ significantly from spot cryptocurrency markets and traditional securities in their mechanics, risk profiles, and regulatory treatment.
Perpetual futures contracts do not have a fixed expiration date but utilize a funding rate mechanism to maintain price convergence with the underlying asset. The funding rate may vary significantly over time and may be positive or negative, affecting the cost of holding positions. The use of leverage means that market movements can result in losses that exceed the initial margin deposited.
You should not trade perpetual futures or other derivatives unless you fully understand the mechanics of leverage, funding rates, liquidation behavior, margin requirements, and the specific operational rules of each exchange or protocol. You should also ensure that such trading is lawful in your jurisdiction and that you have the risk tolerance and financial capacity to absorb potential losses.
No Advisory, Brokerage, Custody, or Fiduciary Relationship
Your access to or use of the Website does not create any advisory, fiduciary, brokerage, dealer, exchange, custody, agency, partnership, joint venture, employment, client, customer, investor, or asset-management relationship between you and either entity.
We do not hold assets for users, do not execute trades for users, do not provide user accounts, and do not act as a broker, investment adviser, commodity trading advisor, fund manager, exchange, custodian, or financial intermediary through this Website.
Trading and Market Risk
Trading in prediction markets, derivatives, digital assets, decentralized finance protocols, or other speculative markets may involve substantial risk, volatility, illiquidity, technological failure, regulatory uncertainty, and potential total loss of capital. Past performance is not indicative of future results.
Markets may behave unpredictably, and automated or systematic trading systems may experience errors, outages, delays, adverse execution, smart contract risk, oracle risk, liquidity risk, counterparty risk, protocol risk, governance risk, cyber risk, or other failures.
Derivatives and Leveraged Trading Risk
Trading in derivatives, including perpetual futures, involves risks that differ materially from spot market trading and that may result in the loss of your entire margin deposit:
Leverage Risk: Derivatives trading utilizes leverage, where a relatively small price movement in the underlying asset can result in disproportionately large gains or losses relative to the deposited margin. Leverage amplifies both profits and losses, and you may lose more than your initial margin deposit.
Liquidation Risk: Leveraged positions are subject to automatic liquidation when the mark price reaches the liquidation price set by the exchange or protocol. Liquidation may occur rapidly during high-volatility or low-liquidity periods, and positions may be liquidated at prices materially different from expected levels, particularly during periods of market stress.
Funding Rate Risk: Perpetual futures positions are subject to funding rates that fluctuate based on market conditions. Long position holders may pay or receive funding depending on whether the funding rate is positive or negative. Sustained adverse funding rates can materially reduce or eliminate position profitability.
Cross-Liquidation Risk: In portfolios containing multiple leveraged positions, a liquidation event in one position may trigger margin requirement increases across related positions, potentially causing a cascade of forced liquidations.
Mark Price Risk: The liquidation price is determined by the exchange's or protocol's mark price, which may deviate from the last traded price or from prices on other venues. This deviation may cause liquidation to occur at prices materially different from expectations.
Smart Contract Risk: Decentralized derivatives protocols operate through smart contracts that may contain coding errors, be subject to oracle failures, governance attacks, or unexpected execution behavior, or fail to function as designed under all market conditions.
Protocol and Oracle Risk: The pricing, liquidation, and margin systems of decentralized derivatives protocols depend on external price feeds and computational infrastructure. Failures, delays, or manipulation of these systems may result in incorrect execution, improper liquidations, or loss of funds.
Liquidity Risk: Derivatives markets, particularly for altcoin perpetual contracts and on decentralized exchanges, may have limited order book depth. Large positions may experience significant slippage, and it may not be possible to enter or exit positions at desired prices or quantities.
You should not trade derivatives unless you fully understand the mechanics of leverage, funding rates, margin requirements, liquidation behavior, and the specific rules of each exchange or protocol.

These may include commodity futures regulations, securities laws, financial services licensing requirements, stablecoin regulations, and cross-border payment regulations. You are solely responsible for understanding and complying with all applicable laws and regulations in your jurisdiction before accessing or using any exchange, protocol, or platform referenced in connection with our trading activities.
